This year, Gamrupa has send a container to The Gambia, for the first time, together with "Help Gambia Te Leren" ( www.HGTL.org) and the Gambia sports sponsorship ( www.gambiasportsponsoring.nl) It was a great event when the container, which was dropped in Sifoe on the land of Ellen, was opened. There was 5 tonnes of plain white paper, which was very welcome at the schools in and around Sifoe. Also a lot of materials for the health center in Sifoe, which is now operational and the village of Penyem, where the people of HGTL is working at the construction of a skill center and other projects. Jankuba and Natu of the Sports sponsorship had a great many soccer uniforms, balls and shoes, so they had to go through a large part of the Gambia to deliver all. It is impossible to tell how much happiness you can make by giving a, in our view, small gift. Perhaps, if it is possible, we will send an other container next year, but we do not have the money for that yet, so we will have to work on that as well.
